pricing & frequently asked questions

How much does a lesson cost?

The first lesson scheduled is $135. Additional lessons are $100. There is also a Materials Fee of $0.75 - $2.00 per student, depending on the lesson. The Materials Fee for each lesson is listed on the lesson's description page. Please schedule two or three lessons per day.

How long does each lesson last?

Each lesson is from 60-90 minutes in length (unless otherwise indicated in the lesson description), depending on the number and age of the students.

Is there a class size limit?

Yes. Each lesson can accommodate up to 40 students (there must be room for all children to sit at a work area and have space to move around).

Does the teacher need to be present during the lesson?

Yes. Teachers are asked to participate and are needed with many of the activities. For Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st Grade there should be at least one actively participating adult for every 18 children; for grades 2 through 5, at least one adult per class of up to 40. It is hoped that teachers will “steal” the ideas and use them!

Do the lessons satisfy Georgia Performance Standards for Science, and how do I know which standards a lesson meets for my grade level?

Yes, all lessons are designed to satisfy Georgia Performance Standards for Science. Our online lesson descriptions include the specific standards satisfied by each lesson, by grade level.

What supplies will I need to have on hand for the lesson?

None. All supplies and materials are included in the lesson cost and Materials Fee.

I don't see the lesson I need. Do you offer customized lessons?
