Sound & Magnets

Children learn how sound is produced by vibrations through several fun experiments. They will see how the volume can be increased through amplification and will do experiments to see how the pitch of sound can be changed. They will also learn how animals depend of sound for safety and to find their young. In the magnet portion of the lesson, they will discover through experiments and fun activities how magnets attract and repel, some materials that are and are not attracted to magnets, and how magnetic force can travel through some materials.
