Students discover the fascinating world of worms and learn the important role worms have in the ecosystem as decomposers and aerators. As part of the lesson, the class can set up a worm bin for composting food scraps.

Materials Fee: $1.00 per student, plus cost of worms and worm bin. Grades 3-5
